Trust yourself, trust your abilities.

Hello readers! I'm at SRJC's crossroad cafe now and it's less than 2 days to CT. It's funny how i'm still blogging here. && tmr i still have a last dance prac for upcoming rehearsal that cannot be missed. Heart over matters yo.

I'm really thankful for Janice for sharing with me about her experience that day when the 2013 J2s got their results. Don't worry guys, it may seem that all hope is gone now but towards the end, there will be a miracle :) Also, i've adopted new studying methods and i'm feeling less lost and i know how to progress already! :D

Currently busy with dance commitments in SR DANCE for upcoming DANCE CONCERT on 2nd May ,wohoo! And DFS (dance crew from DanceFactory) performances in mediacorp events other dinner and dance. And opening of dance pointe academy and teaching of hiphop kids class and kpop adult classes! ^^ Also, my commitment to the fringe activities performance with a group of dancers in school for the school's upcoming 25th anniversary. Last but not least, studying lah. MEH.

I always thought motivation = confident. But I realised that i'm 70% motivated but 60% confident. Motivated does not mean you'll do it. Therefore, there  are barriers inbetween that disrupts my confidence to turn motivation into success. IT should not just be a listen and forget about it thing. I must make sure there is follow up. Pure determination does not work. Your mind/willpower may fail you without concrete actions. A positive thought may not be always good, a realistic thought is better. Friends do not know what are you thinking about. So, if you want them to show care and concern about you, you must be willing to tell them your problems, what you're facing. And when you think you have a friend nice enough and willing to help you, tell them you need their help.

Lastly, here's some studying tips:
1)Read through learning objectives and filter notes. Study smart, only read things that are important.
2) Test yourself, close the book and ask yourself what is essential/ the gist or the so called 'bird eye
's view' of the topic. You can find a friend and test each other! Studying should not be an individual thing.
3)Notes: should not be a repetition of the whole chapter of stuffs in your own words. Lecture notes give you concept but notes should collate all the application question for each topic. During exams, read through your notes so that you won't be overwhelmed by the content of your lecture notes and then zoom in to specific parts / refer to your lecture book again if there's any part you're not so sure of.

I hope these studying tips are helpful and can help someone earlier, not like me who took so long to adopt the right studying method.

To end off, if you want to prepare for a test the day before, forget about it. Just go and watch movie, and drink a cup of coffee ;)
