LYNETTE'S 19TH BIRTHDAY!
Actually never thought of having a birthday party but lemme explain my motivation and rationale to you guys okay. So basically, I was thinking it would be very sad if no one helped me to celebrate my birthday. Also recently, drifted from many friends and hence I was pretty sure everyone was self-engrossed in their own lives and the best birthday greeting would extend to a long message. Therefore, I have decided that I will make myself feel special, feel happy and loved. I don't have to wait for other people to surprise me, make me feel loved, I can make myself feel loved, feel happy, why not. And therefore just the week itself, I started planning, researching, ordering, collecting everything by myself :D Many thanks to my friends who came earlier on the day itself to help me set-up the place! :D Especially Jolynn who brought the whole ring light and tripod over the day before and helped me with the photobooth the whole day! And QiHui who braved the hot sun with me to TaiSeng and got judged with MY LUPSUP attire with helium balloons on the way back. YanJun my makeup artist. And all those who stay all the way at the other side of Singapore but came down to celebrate my last year of being a teen with me. If you're an adult at 21 and 19 is the last year of being a 'teen', then whats 20? X)
YuLin was the only one to wait till 12am to wish me in person happy birthday hehe <3 cause="" cleaning="" late="" nbsp="" of="" p="" quite="" slept="" the="" up.="">Next morning, had the first successful surprise in my whole life. I was legit sleeping and suddenly these two babes were singing happy birthday beside my bed. It was the most unglamorous moment of my life as I really struggled to wake up and make sense of what was happening xD "FASTER MAKE A WISH!" Me: *plunges head into pillow... fell asleep* "ARE YOU DONE?" Me: ... wait i'm wishing, *catches more sleep* HAHAH. THANKS FOR THE MAC BREAKFAST YEA ;) luckily didn't dismantle my beautiful photo booth yesterday and made do without the lighting for some photos. I LOVE MY BFF AND COUSIN LAH. (PARDON THE FACE CONTRAST NOW YOU CAN SEE THE CLEAR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOT MAKE-UP AND NEVER MAKEUP, ESP JUST WOKE UP..)

Anyway, here's a very brief breakdown of a rough estimate of my budget for this birthday. It can be used as a guide for you guys who wanna plan a birthday party and also a self-check for myself. As the venue was at my house, i saved quite a bit on the booking of function rooms part but the cleaning up after party was no easy feat. For those who stay in condo, you guys can easily book a function room yea...
For the decorations, I ordered 12 helium balloons, party pom poms online from Give Fun : http://www.givefun.com.sg/ , costed about $43+
You can opt for delivery or self collection, I opted for self-collection and their office was a distance away from TaiSeng MRT, it was quite an adventure carrying 12 helium balloons walking on the streets and taking public transport back xD
For the food, I ordered the treats under party packs, selected like 2 treats: finger sandwiches and cheesecake cubes. It was a generous serving for the party of 20 guests.

Spent $84.00 here and once again opted for self-collection. The nearest branch was at Nex YAYNESS thanks to YuLin who helped me to collect ^^
Decided to order some pizza too and a friend told me that canadian has the best deals. Hence, bought 2 Family combo! I highly suggest to order online as they need a hell lot of your personal particulars and I always think its a hassle to deal with those spellings over the phone!
http://canadian-pizza.com/menu/ Couldn't remember the price, it's around $70 including delivery I think.
Last but not least, I got my favourite mango ice cream cake from Swensens at $49!ICE CREAM ICE CREAM, I MET YOU DOWN LIKE ICE CREAM~ Be sure to order in advance as I didn't and the person almost threatened to not give me dry ice. The attitude of this manager really suck like he told me there was no dry ice but when I came back to buy from another lady, she prepared the dry ice for me >:
Anyway, I really really wanted to have an instant print photobooth for my party. Hence, I bought a Canon Selphy CP910 digital photo printer $179 and the films and ink set $43 (*108 sheets).
The rest of the props of the photobooth, decorations around my house are pretty much DIY, with the help of Google, Internet and a printer X) Furthermore, I'll be printing photos quite often so it would be an one-time investment for convenience sake as well.
I didn't invite every one due to certain factors in consideration like the size of my house, the budget (more people means more empty stomach to fill) and simply for reasons like some friends have already moved on from your life and there's little meaning in holding on. My estimation was kinda good for 20 pax, finished around 85% of the food :)
Let the pictures roll in~
