2020 came to a pause...
Hey everyone!
It's a rare Sunday morning where I wake up early without any alarm, so let's make it a good one :) So much has changed since 2019. I'm in a better place now with my internship, a loving boyfriend, new goals and motivation.
Started of 2020 in high spirits and being really excited about one thing, my internship in a special-ed school :) I'm elated to say that the experience didn't disappoint. Although it was many many ungodly 5:30am mornings and a few grab adventures, the school, the kids have taught me so much and I really love them x) Even as covid-19 hits and we were stretched to the maximum due to the reduced manpower, I took everything in my stride and committed myself to the whole process of educating.
In February, our surf trip to Canggu, Bali finally happened. Waking up to the ocean, surfing, dipping in pools, fancy restaurants and cheap local food ... that was life. Shoutout to my Haikini girls, nina, brenda, amanda, wenle and especially Becky for completing this trip!
It's April..
Sadly, the world is hit with a coronavirus that is coming at us real bad. Internship has halted, even dance teaching lessons has suspended and all of a sudden I'm just left with free time, a lot of it. Spent the first week of #stayhome getting into the laze mood. Binge watch dramas that I would not even remember in the future. Went for solo adventures to Coney Island, Fort Canning Park to keep my mind sane... It was a really unproductive and passive week.
Moving into Week 2, I've secured online private dance classes, worked out every day (started working on my helplessly weak arms), quitted my dramas and took online dance classes. I like how things are picking up its pace an every day I have a list of things that I look forward to in a down time like this. Also, I'm lucky enough to hoard some library books before this 'lockdown' and have conquered two books thus far.
Moving forward, I hope things will continue going the 'up' way an that this motivation and discipline will continue to surround me. Stay safe, and see you guys real soon xoxo.
