Updating from London

 Hello all,

My previous posts sounds so chirpy and happy but i think today i'm reflecting from a more level headed position. I feel grateful to be in Europe, and of course not to the point of excited.. somehow this travel feels more calm, and forgiving. Even though it's just 3 short weeks as compared to my 6 months travel where I really had the luxury of time, there was little stress to complete a bunch of things on my itinerary and the feeling of 'have to see it all'.. I appreciate the 'you just can't do everything with one trip, don't force things and just go with your intuition' vibe this whole trip.

Manchester

The whole reason why im in Europe, YLT. Came to Manchester for UDO, a world street dance competition with the team. Pretty YOLO decision to fly 2.5K all the way here for a competition. Long story short, we didn't make it to the finals. Besides the results, the greater lesson was the journey we took to get here and also the challenges that we had to overcome when there were distrust and conflict in the team dynamics. Really feel like other than dance, it taught me so much as a person, to work with different personality types, sometimes in daily life settings i can just choose who i wanna interact with but this is almost like a work setting and i gotta make things work. Also super happy that I got to put up a piece that reflects my current 'experimental' stage in stage. And the dancers for trusting my vision and committing it abide it being very different from what they're used to!

After the comp, we kinda split up to do other own things.

To experience the UK for the first time, to have such good fish n chips and cute little tea session, it was really special and nothing like the other holidays i've been before. UK is truly so special and it has this modern but historical vibe which is super interesting because it felt like so much time has passed and so many things have happened here since they still retain all those old buildings while building new ones.

Berlin

Another one... truly love a country with rich culture and history. It makes the places that you visit feel even more alive because every place has a story and a connection with people from those times.

Came to Berlin to find my friend dine and honestly did not do much research on Berlin but it came as such a huge beautiful surprise because Berlin is soooo beautiful. It's full of art, truly a place where art thrives, and also full of history and culture. Everywhere you walk around the city you could see art, artsy people, artsy buildings, even their traffic lights are cool.

Lastly so thankful to my friend dine for spending 5 days with me showing me around and also letting me crash her place. So much love blossomed from my trip in Korea and that's my biggest flex in life.
