OSAKA BOUND 6TH - 9TH JULY

Japan is a beautiful place with a rich history and hence most of my pictures are scenes and views. WOHOO, really love this place and felt that my stay was too short. Would definitely wanna explore different parts of Japan or even Osaka again next time :)

As I didn't keep track of where I went every day (actually i did but i'm lazy to think HAHA) so this post shall be in the random sequence of places I went but not in chronological order :D

Sumiyoshi Taisha

It looks like Chinese characters, but i really don't understand what does it say :'(

We all came here for this beautiful bridge.

Fine details like words beautifully engraved on low walls.

These were bags of pebbles, I think people make a wish and hang them here like for prosperity, health, fortune..

People come to a shrine to pray, wish for a certain blessing. Hence, with all the sincere prayers they hang their wishes here.

This lamp posts look like those you'll fine in ancient dramas and I super love it, reminds me of Chinese Dance heh.

Location: back streets in my hood'

Pokemon Center, Osaka!!
I'm not joking this was my primary reason for making a stop here MUAHAHA!

On my way there, I chanced by this arcade where I had some serious Pokemon Catching and caught two Pikachus! WOHOO I think I'm an almost expert at pokemon catching ;)
BEWARE: ahead consists of obnoxious selfies of Pikachu and I. (skip through if needed)

Caught this cross-eye Pikachu as well and it's very funny because he looks so retardedly - cute.

And I actually like squirtle too cause it's blue in color and they have a really round head?! SO CUTE
Am I Ash yet? Since Pikachu is sitting on my shoulders.

Osaka Castle

I was really having a mini photo shoot under the Sun with no mercy ... and indulging in the museum educating myself about history and war.

I was just amazed by the beautiful shadows formed from the checkered roof? WAIT WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE CHECKERED ROOF? Grow vines? cover ... sun? rain?

And you just gotta make the best out of your surroundings, for example by using a tree as a tripod stand, must STURDY.

Oh yes! Someone has written my wish down! :)

Umeda Sky Building Tower

Dotonbori
The real live Japanese street and culture is truly experienced here! If you want a summary of Osaka, it has to be this 24 hours hustling street!!

I really love their huge giant statues on top of each stalls like octopus, sushis! It's like from far YES I SEE AN OCTOPUS, tako tako takoyaki time! HAHA

It's time for pictures of all the snacks and food. Don't hate me.

This is the best curry rice I've had till date omg! Chose level 8/10 for spiciness it was so spicy but I couldn't stop eating it haha!

The best thing that comes after a burning tongue is an ice cream yogurt :D

They have vending machines selling a lot of variations of drinks every 3 metres LOL

Dem balls be flippin'

Not matcha fan but this drink here is matcha milk goodness.

Here's a photo of the very cute train ticket that gets eaten up by the gantry each time and I don''t get to keep it as a souvenir :(

Yeah so basically I didn't get to eat a lot because the first night I took a taxi to my apartment (it was at night and the trains were closed) and it burned 200 SGD in my budget :(

I also went to America Mura (it's just beside my dance studio), which resemblance my recently visited LA so much which a street line up of american stalls, american inspired styles and brands.

Went to Ota Road too which is like for Anime geeks. Since Anime is like a subculture of Japan, I really wanted to go down and take a look. It definitely was as good as I expected but I'm sorry the only Anime character I know is.. YEA xD Had more arcades there and was busy catching Pikachus when a Japanese guy working in the shop called me kawaii LOL. ARIGATO~

For travelling I always buy single trip tickets, they price from 180 yen depending on your destination. The trip from my house to my dance studio: Lab 3 Dance studio costs 220 yens. I took 4 classes, 4 really inspiring classes by brilliant instructors. They are so driven on basics ... it's like back to the basics. The instructor was counting/ explaining in Jap but dance speaks a common language.

Oh yea, people in Japanese on average do not have a good command of English. Hence, all I said was hello and thank you. xD BUT ALL OF THEM ARE SO SO POLITE AND HOSPITABLE. If there's one thing that I would wanna bring back from Japan, it would be manners. GOSH need to start training on some mannerism now that I'm back in Singapore.
