Somewhere out there
130th post, my previous blog had 786 posts, I started blogging since primary 5, wow it has been 6 years! Every time before I start blogging, i'll go to my blog to refresh about what I wrote recently. Glancing through my previous previous post, it's really a sad post. And I remember saying that I hope there will be lesser bipolar behaviour, because today my post is a happy one again xD
I remember how happening my national day was during secondary school because I was involved as a NDP motivator. Cheering and RARA-ing the crowd on, folding balloons for little children and it remember how proud I was doing that because each child looked super happy with their balloon. Before the actual day, NDP trainings the whole saturday for months, literally under rain or shine and having supper together, somehow I think if you go and stalk my old blog you'll be able to find. I miss my army guys WeiShien, Alex and Johnson although they're already not an army guy anymore haha! Especially WeiShien cause he went great lengths to teach my trigonometry when he booked out on weekends, motivating and believing in me that I can do well for O's, forever grateful.
I've read somewhere that looking back too much is unhealthy, so let's move on to looking forward now!
Yesterday the school had half day but there wasn't any celebration. But we gathered in the hall and talked about our whole journey together since J1, feels like graduation xD I really love SR for going great lengths for their students. I was so touched during the musical, how much effort the teachers put in to put up a good show for the students, how they're willing tobear the embarrassment, making us laugh and have a super enjoyable night. SR's culture of love and care (as ironic as how they try to remain us character, imagination and values every day), it's not just words, we live up to it, it's really different from other schools, i'm so glad and lucky to be in SR.Ended the session with SR's songs (they call it, but i only heard it once during orientation and once now). Another touching moment as we held hands, sway and sang along. When everyone sings together, all you can feel is love and faith that our dreams will never die. (PS, is my blog getting too cheesy for anyone yet?) And hugs, are just the best thing ever (every girl's confession).

After school stayed back with my girls to study and they all left one by one, leaving April and I alone around 7. She went to run then we, with jia ren went star gazing! YAY it was the major highlight of the night and I was looking forward to it the whole day. Took awhile to set the silence set in because Reuben kept going on and on about how the videostitch I uploaded on insta the other day wasn't 50 different photos. It's quite funny cause he went to ask all his classmates is it the same photos. I was just kiddingggggggg X) It was actually 2 x 25 photos. April was rather agitated and high because her friend gave her a scare in the dark. xD Was rolling around on the field but we couldn't see any stars cause the sky is rather bright. We didn't have a choice cause the school closes at 8 instead of the usual 9 today. It was beautiful while it lasted. Went to have dinner with them and because April was still quite high, she shared with us a lot of stories and invited us to her house for a meal when her mom cooks one day yay! I just love conversations with April because she has the ability to accurately put what i'm feeling into words and and she also saw both the ugliest and super lack of confidence side of me. Once again, these simple moments, because studying takes up most of my time, taught me how to appreciate these moments a lot more. And once again, it was beautiful while it lasted! :)
My thought of the week is: "Stop wasting efforts on those who ain't worth your efforts." It just struck me and I realised how stupid I was. Instead, I should spend more effort on those who are worth it. There's really no such thing like equality in situations like this. Now, I really look forward to school and have no intentions of skipping because I love every moment spent with my friends :)
